I've got to say. This surprised me. It really does glow up incredibly well. I'm assuming it uses leds to produce the neon lighting effect, but it does it perfectly. I plugs in via usb but can also be run from standard aa batteries. It had a little hook at the top for hanging, but it's also light enough to use sticky pads to secure to a wall (not included).

The photo is the alien neon temporary located just to power up and test and it looks great.
